A girl from Orissa, Ipsita Pati has filed a case against Sushmita Sen and her organization, Tantra Entertainment Private Ltd for torturing her physically and mentally. She was one among the 30 contestants who took part in the beauty contest 'I Am She 2010 Miss Universe'. She came forward and openly blamed the organizers in the media. Ipsita Pati (18) had lodged a complaint at the Women's Police Station in Bhubaneswar against the organizer of the event, Tantra Entertainment Private Ltd and its owner Bollywood actress and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen. She with her mother even went to CM of Orissa to intervene in the matter.
She said that the entire selection procedure was a fowl and they cheated her by dropping her name from the final list for being ‘under-weight’. She said that when she entered the contest, she weighed 53 kilos but her weight reduced drastically to 45 kilos due to lack of proper diet. "I suffered from weakness and was hospitalised. However, the promoters did not let me speak to my family members. It was not allowed during the grooming session. I was feeling miserable," Pati later told the media persons.
The model even accused the organizers for not allowing to meet her parents during the entire grooming process. Pati also accused them of making discrimination. Pati is not new to the glamour world, she had earlier won the Miss South India 2008 title.
However, nothing was heard from Sushmita Sen’s side, she is yet to come forward and clarify the allegations made against her and her organization.
