Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra, Mira Nair to receive Padma Bhushan awardBy Bollywood Hungama News Network ,Jan 25, 2012 - 15:03 hrs ISTThe President of India announced the list of winners selected this year for the most honourable Padma Awards-2012. Padma Awards, the country's highest civilian awards, are conferred in three categories, namely, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri. The Awards are given in all disciplines/ fields of activities, viz. art, social work, public affairs, science and engineering, trade and industry, medicine, literature and education, sports, civil service, etc.

Among the list of winners this year are actors Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra and filmmaker Mira Nair who will be conferred with the Padma Bhushan award. Besides singer Anup Jalota and filmmaker Priyadarshan have been selected for the Padma Shri award.

Late Dr.Bhupen Hazarika, who passed away last year has been selected for the coveted Padma Vibhushan award.
