There was a bad fight between the entertainer/host of Star Screen Awards Sajid Khan and winning director of the eve Ashutosh Gowariker, which was witnessed by many as the events unfolded live on the stage in front of everybody. Bollywood voices its opinion on the spat:

Riteish Deshmukh: I wasn’t present at the awards so I’m unaware of the comments made on the films. Sajid’s a brand and has his own style of humour.

He has been doing this for more than ten years and the public loves him for that. About making fun of films and friends in the industry at an award function should be taken in the right spirit. We loved SRK doing it and we love Sajid doing it too.

Katrina Kaif: I think It’s just light-hearted comedy and that it shouldn’t be taken too seriously. It’s the entertainment industry, after all.

John Abraham: I wasn’t there when the incident happen- ed, so it would be imprudent for me to comment on the issue. I wasn’t upset with the Dostana act, it was a Dostana night and Sajid was really funny.

Shilpa Shetty: Humour has a limit. It’s funny when the joke is not on you. You can’t hit below the belt, especially at film awards functions where the entire fraternity is present.

I don’t mind if people crack jokes on me as long as it’s not very personal like Chunky had made on Koena last year.

It’s best to take things with a pinch of salt but we should also realise that we are creative people who are sensitive and eccentric.

The slightest things can trigger off a nasty reaction while the meanest of jokes can get an amused response.

Vishal Dadlani: Though I don’t know what happened, I think it’s important to have a sense of humour.

Anurag KashyAp: I like it. We should develop a sense of humour and learn to laugh at ourselves. Sometimes it gets sensitive. But we should learn to let it go. It’s all fun and games

What do you think folks humor should have a limit, or should we learn to laugh at ourselves?
