Konkona, Ranvir’s quiet wedding

In the presence of very close ones, Konkona Sen Sharma and Ranvir Shorey tied the knot on 2nd september evening in their Versova residence where the couple has been residing together for two years. It was a very hush hush affair and very limited number of people were present. They were married in Arya Samaj style. Present on the occasion were Konkona’s mother Aparna Sen (with her husband Kalyan Roy) and father Mukul (with his wife Vinita). Konkona’s elder sister Kamalini came down from Cincinnati.

Konkona and Ranvir met each other in 2006 on the set of ‘Mixed Doubles’ and fell in love. Since then they were very steady in their relationship and never gave scope to the media to invade their personal life. They got engaged in June 2008. “They both wanted a discreet and intimate affair and that’s how it was,” said a family friend, adding that “around 100 guests” were present when Ranvir and Konkona took wedding vows.
