Kangana Ranaut who is known for her intense role and bold scenes will be seen in a different avatar in Milan Luthria’s ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’. She will sport 70s look in the film staring Ajay Devgan. Speaking about Kangana Ranaut’s makeover, the director said, "There is a lot of her in the character. She lends herself because she has a great body which does not look vulgar and her face is chameleon-like - she can change into different looks everyday!"
In the film, Kangana plays a bohemian Bollywood actress Rehana who falls for gangster Ajay Devgan. "As it was the time of flower power and when women were getting liberated and live-in relationships came out in the open, her styling reflects all these aspects," Luthria said.
Designers Rushi Sharma and Manoshi Nath has styled Kangana for the role, they said, "We not only looked at actresses of the `70s here but also the trends that were prevailing in the West at that time. But Kangna arrived at the office with a spiral bound book of her research for the movie. She had prepared a detailed account of the style, hairdos and accessories scene-by-scene which was also incorporated for her look."
The film also stars Emraan Hashmi and Prachi Desai along with Ajay and Kangana.
