Film maker Anurag Basu was the first to spot Kangna's talent. He didn't just give her a pivotal role in GANGSTER but also extracted a marvelous performance out of her. Later, even though she was one of the many characters in the ensemble starrer LIFE IN A METRO, Kangna never came across complaining as she found good acknowledgment coming for her work. No wonder, Anurag repeated Kangna in KITES though the fact remains that the film is being entirely sold as a Hrithik-Barbara starrer.
However, should Kangna be feeling disheartened? Not really because she can be expected to be relatively casual about the whole experience called KITES. She has all the right reasons to do so. After all KITES is not the only movie that she has worked on over the year gone by. Next few months are going to be quite exciting for her courtesy close to half a dozen biggies that are lined up.
First to arrive would be Anees Bazmee's laugh riot NO PROBLEM where she is paired opposite Akshaye Khanna. Closer to that would arrive Milan Luthria's gritty drama ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAI where she has Ajay Devgn for company. Meanwhile, her KNOCK OUT with Sanjay Dutt is also expected to reach the finishing lines soon. GAME with Abhishek Bachchan is a young thriller from the production house of Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani and is carrying good reports while Anand L Rai's smile along film TANU WEDS MANU should result in fun moments for her as she hunts for a prospective groom for her in the form of Madhavan.
KITES may just be up there in the sky but there is a lot on the ground that should keep Kangna run along!
