Deepika Padukoneis hitting the headlines once again and this time not for her films or for her ex boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor but for her astounding appearance at the Cannes film festival. Deepika shines bright at the festival with the traditional attire of India, sari, specially designed for the occasion by ace designer Rohit Bal. She mesmerized all as she walked the red carpet of Cannes for the first time in a sumptuous ivory colored sari.
She was present there for Chivas Regal and walked the carpet with Rohit Bal. The beauty
of her sari has been lifted up by her matching jewelry and wrist watch.
"This is the first time I am going to a festival like this. Initially I was a bit hesitant but now I am looking forward to meet great people from all across the globe," she said.
Deepika speaks out why she has chosen to wear a sari for the event. "Sari is a very sensual garment and whenever people from other countries discuss about sari, they just say one word - wow!!," said Deepika.
Another beauty who has made a permanent place at the event is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for being the L’Oreal face.
