The Akshay Kumar-Sonakshi Sinha-starrer, which was originally supposed to be India’s first 3D film, is finally done with its shooting schedules

Shirish Kunder’s ambitious 3D film Joker has been in the making for well over a year now. We finally heard that it is done with as far as shoots are concerned. Long ago, Shirish had proudly announced that Joker would be India’s first 3D film, but thanks to the various delays it will be the fourth, after Haunted 3D, RA.One and Don 2. In the last year, the popularity of 3D gimmicks in Bollywood films has been losing steam; the 3D version of Don 2, in particular, actually gave the audience a headache. The problem with the 3D versions of RA.One and Don 2 was that they weren’t actually shot using 3D cameras, but were just conversions. Haunted 3D, despite its lame story and bad acting by Mahakshay, became a huge hit because it was India’s first bona fide 3D movie.
