Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Don 2-The chase continues’ is the last big release of 2011. It is heard that Zee entertainment channel is buying the official broadcast rights of the film for Rs 37 crore. Zee has acquired the rights for showing the film for seven years.

Jayantilal Gada, head of the film acquisition business at the Zee Group, however said that the size of the deal is very big. It was a bumper year for Reliance Entertainment as their last two films (‘Bodyguard’ and ‘Singham’) crossing the mark of Rs 100-crore.

"Satellite is an important revenue stream for all presenters and producers, including us," said Reliance Entertainment chief strategy officer Priti Shahani. The film stars Priyanka Chopra and Shahrukh Khan in the lead. The film will hit the theatre on December 23.
