News : Satish Kaushik to Remake the Tamil Hit Pithamagan

For people who do not know about ‘Pithamagan’, it is a Tamil superhit that starred Vikram and Suriya. Even Bollywood is well aware of both these South Superstars, Vikram played the cop’s role in Mani Ratnam’s Raavan and we got to see Suriya’s acring prowess in Ram Gopal Varma’s Rakta Charitra II. Pithamagan was both a critical and commercial success, and fetched Vikram a National Award and Suriya stardom.

Satish Kaushik has acquired the rights of this super hit film and is planning to remake it for the Bollywood audience. If all goes well, Satish plans to rope in Hrithik and Saif for playing the lead roles. Satish Kaushik is not new to remakes and has remade several films in the past, one among which is Salman Khan’s Tere Naam, which incidentally was also made by the same filmmaker who made Pithamagan.

So, let’s wait and see if Satish can get to cast Hrithik and Saif together, who should be perfect for the roles played by Suriya and Vikram.
