Akki’s sister throws pre-karva chauth party

Bollywood wives gathered at Akshay Kumar’s sister’s Alka’s salon for pre Karva Chauth bash. All the ladies will have all sort of beauty treatment at Alka’s salon and would make them beautiful for the coming Diwali and karva Chauth festival.

Twinkle too follows the ritual religiously ever since she married to Akshay Kumar. Twinkle said, "I really don't believe in religious things but karva chauth is a sweet ritual and I follow it because it makes my family happy."

Took part at the party were Mahie Gill, Sonali Bendre, Farah Khan, Gayatri Joshi and many others. Akshay appreciates his wife and sister’s work. He stands as a pillar of strength for them. He said, "I have always been supportive of my wife and sister's business ventures. While Tina runs an interior designing company, Alka runs a beauty spa where she makes people look as beautiful as her."

Akki’s sister's bash was called 'blast before the fast'. She explained, "People are generally in a karva chauth and Diwali pre-festive mood so I decided to have a pre-karva chauth event.

I decorated my salon Aroma Garden like a small flea market with chudiwala, bindiwalas, paani puri sellers and candles.

There are mehndi girls and girls giving head and foot massages, polishing, hair and other stuff which people do for karva chauth. It was fun."
