Desi Katrina in Tees maar Khan

Recently, Director Farah Khan
was through with the first schedule of her upcoming venture of tees maar khan. “In just a month’s time, we’ve wrapped up 50 per cent of the film. It’s amazing how much work we packed into every day.” said Farah. The highpoint of the shoot at Malshej Ghat, she asserts, was a dance number filmed on Katrina Kaif who made a pretty picture in a ghagra-choli for the first time. The song
is a typically Indian, gloriously uninhibited number, reminiscent of Madhuri Dixit’s Dhak dhak . Katrina Kaif rehearsed for it for 10 days and by the time she came to the sets she could do the steps with her eyes shut. “As soon as she arrived, everyone was galvanised. From the actors to the assistant directors, the guys were clamouring to blow the fan that would send her hair flying and operate the rain machine,” Farah Khan recalled.

Katrina Kaif’s costume has been designed by Akki Narula and Khan points out that given that it’s a desi look, they settled on a ghagra-choli look with a twist. “The choli is sequinned and the hairstyle western,” Farah added.
