A complain has been filed against actor Ajay Devgan for cheating an owner of a production house in Jharkhand.
According to a source, "The FIR was lodged in Argora police station of the city on February 27th by one, Rajesh Kumar Prasad of Kumar Art International (KAI), charging the actor of cheating, as he had not assigned dates for the movie he signed even after taking the signing amount. The complaint states that KAI, which also has an office in Mumbai, signed a movie with Devgan in January, 1995. The actor was to be paid Rs.21 lakhs as his acting remuneration and KAI had paid him Rs.200,000 as his signing amount. But the multiple National Award winning actor, who was supposed to play the lead role in the movie, had spared only few hours and after that never bothered, the complaint states”.
Prasad contacted Ajay’s personal secretary number of times but failed to get any suitable reply. After waiting for 14 long years, he filed a cheating case against him. The FIR has been lodged under different sections of IPC including 406 (criminal breach of trust) and 420 (cheating).
Prasad said that Ajay’s act has not only caused him financial loss but mental stress as well.
