Shahrukh Khan has been invited to the prestigious 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards to present the award for the winner of Drama Category Award and Slumdog Millionaire has a strong chance of winning the Golden Globe.
The King Khan of Bollywood will be sharing space with other great presenters like, Glenn Close, Sasha Baron Cohen, Cameron Diaz, Aaron Eckhart, Laurence Fishburne, Simon Baker, Drew Barrymore, Fishburne, Ricky Gervais, Jake Gyllenhall, Salma Hayek, Blake Lively, Jennifer Lopez, Hayden Panettiere, The Jonas Brothers, Amy Poehler, Chris Rock, Seth Rogen and Martin Scorsese.
SRK has been invited to the awards ceremony at Beverly Hilton in California along with wife Gauri and Karan Johar, Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle and Music Composer A.R Rahman will be also present for the ceremony, as both have been nominated for the awards.
SRK is quite honored with the invitation and says, “It’s a great honor for Indian cinema. I am just a means.I have always wanted to come here with my own film someday.”
“When I had come here a few years ago, nobody really recognized us as they do today. Things have changed so much. Films like Aamir’s Taare Zameen Par are highly talked about, which is a great thing for Indian cinema. Awards like the Golden Globe and Oscars help the film, the producer and actors to get an international market. The process has begun for all of us. It’s a nice feeling.”
What do you think about the invitation folks?
